In 2016, US Navy Veteran, and former professional Bull Rider, Jon Folsom started keeping bees on his property in Southern Ohio. It wasn’t long before Folsom’s Local Sweet Load Honey became one of the fastest growing brands in the region, far outselling what his bees could produce.
In the Spring of 2022, fellow US Navy Veteran, longtime friend, and country music singer-songwriter Jared Ashley convinced Jon that it was time to share his Sweet Load with the rest of the world.
With the target in clear sight they buzzed into action to bring Folsom’s liquid gold to the masses, but realized that quality honey was only half the battle. In true Navy fashion, they decided to enlist the help of former jarhead, and marketing veteran, David Keller to spear the brand and e-commerce strategy.
